Interdisciplinary Learning Collaboration

In regular schools, this is called “extracurricular activities”… But at Angstrem, it’s an engaging, useful, and completely free interdisciplinary project — MetaAngstrem, held annually for Angstrem students in grades 5–11.
In the 2025/26 season, younger students in grades 1–4 are also joining the collaboration.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Angstrem students are offered topics to choose from, which they explore in depth from the perspective of multiple subjects.
MetaAngstrem 2025/26 will combine biology and physics, history and art, geography and mathematics, physical education and literature, as well as labor studies and English.

  • Thematic groups are formed within each grade level, assigned teacher-mentors, and… the work kicks off in full swing!

  • At this stage, the computer science teacher instantly joins the process, helping everyone interested to master the 3D modeling software Onshape. This way, the research is already conducted in “three dimensions.”

  • For almost half a year, Angstrem students accumulate real knowledge, complementing it with virtual 3D creations. Later, the results of their teamwork are presented in the form of websites.

  • It all culminates in a grand online ceremony showcasing the completed projects in the presence of a wide audience of Angstrem students, teachers, and Lyceum administration.
